Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) Training will be held in September! This is a great opportunity for you to learn better ways to be prepared and also how you can help your neighbors in a disaster.

The course will be held the following dates/times:

September 7: 9 am - 5 pm

September 14: 9 am - 5 pm

September 18: 6 pm - 9 pm (Final Exercise)

*We must have at least 10 people for the course to run. In order to recieve your certificate, you must attend all of the classes or make arrangements to make up missed sections by attending other City’s courses. Applications are available online or can be picked up at the City Office. Applications are due no later than August 28.

Declaration of Candidacy Forms or Nomination Petition must be filed in person
with the City Recorder at 1600 E South Weber Drive, South Weber, during normal office hours.

Qualifications for Office:  Must be a registered voter of the municipality; has resided within South Weber City for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election; and any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold elective office is restored under UCA Section 20A-2-101.5.  (UCA 20A-9-203; 10-3-301) 

The South Weber City Block Captain Training is now available online! If you are a Block Captain or would like to become a Block Captain, please complete the required course.  Once the course is complete, you will be asked to fill out a simple form with your name and contact information. The City will then send you the needed supplies. The class takes about ten minutes to complete.  If you prefer to complete the class in-person, please contact the City to arrange an appointment.
