When is spring cleanup held and what are the regulations?
Usually the spring clean is held in April of each year. Watch the City newsletter for the exact date that has been scheduled.
Restrictions for the cleanup are:
1) All tree limbs and burnable items must be cut into 4-foot lengths, bundled and weigh no more than 40 pounds each.
2) All bundles must be placed on the street and/or curb. The items can only remain on the street two days prior to pickup. Do not place articles in such a fashion that would cause harm to a car, bicyclist or pedestrian.
3) No employee of the City may enter onto a resident’s property to pick up any items. EVERYTHING must be brought out to the street. Any “special needs,” please call the Public Works Director to arrange for pick-up.
4) Appliances, batteries, furniture, dead animals, tires, or any other items that are not burnable or considered garbage will NOT be picked up.
